Seems like there was never a time I wasn't drawing, painting or making something with my hands.
The only thing I enjoy more than art, is my dogs - Dalmatians, which I have owned, bred, and shown for over 30 years.
So combining the two just naturally occurred. I started drawing them working in charcoals, then moved on to pen and inks.
When painting, I love to work with Watercolor or Acrylic, but also do Oils, and sometimes combine mediums.
A few years ago I started donating a portion of every art sale to a wonderful charity that benefits Dalmatians.
Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue -- SDAL rescues Dalmatians from shelters and finds them new homes.
They also educate the public about the Dalmatian breed, promote spay/neuter & provide rehoming assistance to owners.
They have a Senior Dal Rescue Project for Dals aged 9 and above, as well. This is a wonderful charity of dedicated volunteers
who work very hard to rescue, foster and place unwanted dogs into forever homes. Internationally recognized, my artwork
hangs in collections all over the world. I am listed in the AKC Dog Museum Artist Registry and I am a proud member of Worldwide Women Artists, an international collective of women artists showing and selling our work online. I do custom animal portraits on request.
